Approach
Caring for a loved one with cognitive disorders is a difficult time that requires constant adaptation.
When a loved one becomes incapable of ensuring the protection of their person and managing their property, the legal process to approve their protection mandate or open guardianship can seem cumbersome and complicated.
The role of the social worker is to explain the different options available to you, support you and carry out the psychosocial assessment necessary for this process. This is why I invite you to contact me to discuss the context that leads you to legally represent a loved one.
About
With more than 15 years of experience in the field of social work, I have developed expertise in psychosocial assessments with incapacitated people in need of legal protection.
I mainly worked in CHSLDs and CLSCs with elderly people. I am familiar with the public health system and the processes elderly people and their loved ones often have to deal with.
*I am also fluent in English and can help those who speak little French through this process.
